Blog #5 | The Final Prototype

We’re finally here. Going into 2021, we’ve been hard at work getting the Phoenix ready for release. This update debuts the fruits of our labor.

Jumping right into it, we’re excited to reveal our final prototype. Here’s the first demo video of our fully functional Phoenix, which is also featured on the main page of our website:

As you can see in the video, the modules are fully interchangeable and come in a variety of popular pickup and control configurations. One thing to note is that we plan to offer modules in multiple types of wood, which we’re still finalizing.

This is just the beginning—after release we’ll keep expanding our module selections based on our own ideas and community feedback.

We’ve come a long way with the Phoenix. From here we’re planning to shift gears from prototyping toward taking pre-orders, which could happen in the next month or two. Our tentative timeline from there would be to ship the first guitars within 3 to 6 months, depending on how COVID affects our production and the amount of guitars ordered.

The final prototype is an excellent instrument, and has received extremely favorable reviews from those who have tested it to date. While we still need to fine tune a few things, such as the final wood selection, module options and price, we’re more confident than ever that the finish line is imminent.

As always, thank you for sticking with us through the development of the Phoenix. This update highlights the monumental amount of progress we’ve made on the guitar since May 2020.

We’ll have more information on pre-orders available in the next month or two, so please don’t forget to follow us on social media for the latest updates.
